Etsu Izakaya
One of Gold Coast’s household venues, Etsu Izakaya offers an unparalleled level of service and combines it with an amazing menu and traditional drinks. We worked with serial restauranteurs Mitch and Nerissa in the development of one of their flagship venues.
Working on this project was different in many ways. The first thing was our clients were heavily into the design process and preferred to design as they went.
They had a rough seating plan and concept but left lots of decisions to be made in the moment, which was a wonderful way in which to create.
There were also many different calibrations on this job which the clients arranged. There was always something different to discuss and to design with a curved wall being built and real trees being brought in as part of the decor, so thinking on our feet, at that moment, was common practice by the end of this project. Not many projects are operated in this way but the clients were more than happy with the result and everyone involved is proud to be part of this fantastic restaurant.
