Fuel Bakehouse
With small space you can still make a big impact.
We were glad to hear Fuel Bakehouse wanted to open another space as their other bakery which we designed a few years earlier was doing so well.
We covered the shopfront with black cladding with heavy timber borders to form door openings, signage and menu boards, thus giving a very bold, architectural appearance.
Inside, we wanted to showcase their product as much as possible, so keeping it light in colour and minimal in design definitely heightened their display. The front counter was an area where we could design something with a little more freedom. We created a double layer, timber curved wall on the front face with a white tile top with a matching timber trim.
Fuel Bakehouse Cabarita is a great example that a small space can make a large impact.

We knew the location required a different design but keeping within the branding of Fuel Bakehouse. Being located on a busy thoroughfare and at the entrance of a shopping centre we wanted to capture the passing traffic which we did so by changing the shop front making it as visible as possible by maximising the size in which we could create.
