Approaching this restaurant, we were inspired to reimagine how small gestures and crafted details can elevate an entire dining experience.
Every gesture was intentional: the custom entry door, tailored furniture, crafted character pieces, and the warm sculptural lighting. Even the colour palette was created by hand, drawn from the symbolism of red in Chinese heritage and softened into tones that shaped the rest of the space.
The result is a refined and expressive environment where form, texture and light work quietly together. It reflects our belief at OJ Thompson that even the simplest foundations can become memorable when shaped with purpose, creativity and care.

Approaching this project, we focused on turning essential elements into atmosphere. The narrow floor plan became our first challenge, and the gradient technique offered both a spatial solution and a way to introduce the landscapes of China—an influence we deeply admire. The illuminated panels abstract distant mountains, adding depth without relying on literal motifs.
